The Landfill Cell Design Studies aim to design and optimize sanitary landfill cells based on environmental and engineering standards. These studies include an assessment of the geological, hydrogeological, and geotechnical conditions of the landfill site, an evaluation of the type and volume of incoming waste, and an analysis of the environmental impacts of waste disposal. The project examines the selection of appropriate materials for different landfill cell layers, the design of drainage and leachate control systems, and the implementation of protective measures to prevent soil and groundwater contamination. Additionally, optimal solutions for increasing landfill capacity, reducing leachate production and greenhouse gas emissions, and improving daily landfill operations will be proposed to ultimately establish a sustainable and efficient system for proper waste disposal, minimizing environmental impacts while enhancing public health conditions in the region.
