Irrigation and drainage networks

Irrigation and drainage networks

Irrigation and drainage networks

Irrigation and drainage networks include the design, implementation and management of systems that optimally supply the water required by fields and green spaces and drain excess water appropriately. In the irrigation sector, key activities include the design and construction of water transmission and distribution channels, pumping stations, and flow control systems to provide timely and appropriate water for agricultural crops and green spaces. In the drainage sector, the design and construction of canals and drains in order to dispose of excess water and control the underground water level is very important. Also, managing water resources and optimizing its use is one of the other important parts of this field, which preserves soil quality, prevents salinization and flooding of lands, and increases productivity in agriculture and green space, and plays an essential role in the sustainability of water resources and agricultural production.

Studies on providing sustainable water resources in the industrial towns of Sistan and Baluchistan province

Sustainable water resource management studies for industrial parks are of great importance to ensure the water needs of industries are met without negatively impacting the environment and natural resources. These studies examine the existing water resources in the area, such as surface and groundwater, and provide solutions for proper management and sustainable utilization, taking into account the water needs of industrial parks. Assessing the capacity of water resources, analyzing water consumption patterns, and management methods are crucial parts of these studies that help reduce pressure on natural resources and enhance water consumption efficiency. One of the main objectives of these studies is to provide innovative methods for recycling and reusing water in industrial processes. These solutions may include the use of treated wastewater, implementing rainwater harvesting systems, and utilizing modern water treatment technologies. In addition, the studies also focus on the environmental impacts of water resource exploitation to ensure that, in addition to meeting water needs, the protection of water resources and the prevention of pollution and unnecessary water consumption are guaranteed.

Studies on Sustainable Water Resource Management in Industrial Towns of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province

The Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, with its richer water resources compared to many other provinces in the country, is recognized as one of the important regions for water supply in Iran. However, despite this, unauthorized exploitation and poor management of water resources have posed serious challenges for the province in terms of securing sustainable water resources, especially for industrial parks. Studies on sustainable water resource management in this province are of particular importance for the proper management of water resources and addressing the growing needs of industries. These studies examine existing water resources, such as surface and groundwater, and provide solutions for sustainable and optimal utilization of these resources. In Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, recycling and reusing water in industrial processes, treating wastewater, and employing modern water purification technologies can play a significant role in supplying water for industrial parks. Given the importance of this province in supplying water to other regions of the country, implementing these solutions not only contributes to sustainable industrial development but also helps preserve water resources and reduce pressure on natural resources.

Studies on Sustainable Water Resource Management in Industrial Towns of Fars Province

Fars Province, given its geographical expanse and extensive agricultural and industrial activities, faces serious challenges in securing sustainable water resources. The reduction of groundwater resources and recurrent droughts have made the optimal management of water resources in this province more essential than ever. Studies on sustainable water resource management for industrial parks in Fars are particularly important for preserving existing resources and meeting the growing needs of industries. These studies focus on both surface and groundwater resources and provide solutions for the optimal and sustainable utilization of these resources. In Fars Province, recycling and reusing water in industrial processes, treating and utilizing industrial and municipal wastewater, and employing modern water treatment technologies are among the effective strategies to address water scarcity and sustainably meet industrial needs. Given the water resource crisis in this province, proper management of water consumption and utilization not only aids in the sustainable development of industries but also contributes to the preservation of natural resources and the prevention of exacerbating the water crisis.

Studies on the separation of urban drinking water from the green space water in the city of Khusf

The project of studies on the separation of urban drinking water from the green space water of Khosf city was carried out with the aim of optimizing water consumption and maintaining quality drinking water resources for human use. In this project, due to the dry climate and the lack of water resources in the region, the need to separate the water sources used for irrigation of green spaces from drinking water was identified. Initial studies focused on available resources, water needs of green spaces, and water consumption patterns in Khosuf city. These studies helped identify suitable non-potable water sources, such as surface water, treated wastewater, and recycled water for use in green spaces. In this project, practical solutions were proposed to create an effective separation system, which included the design of separate transmission lines, wastewater treatment and reuse systems, and the use of new water management technologies. These measures have helped to reduce the pressure on drinking water resources and increase the efficiency of water consumption in the green space, and at the same time, it has also led to maintaining and improving the quality of the urban green space. With the implementation of this plan, Khosef city has taken an effective step towards sustainable management of water resources and reducing the wastage of drinking water.

Mapping and preparation of GIS platform of green space of Sirjan city

The project for mapping and creating a GIS platform for the green spaces of Sirjan city was aimed at establishing a comprehensive and precise database for the management and maintenance of urban green areas. In this project, all green spaces, including parks, gardens, boulevards, and squares, were accurately mapped, and information such as geographic location, plant types, area, and water requirements for each region was collected. The use of Geographic Information System (GIS) in this project facilitates better management and optimization of water resources and the maintenance of green spaces. The GIS platform serves as a powerful tool that helps the Sirjan municipality analyze up-to-date data and implement irrigation, maintenance, and green space development plans accurately and efficiently. This system allows for spatial and temporal data analysis, leading to reduced operational costs, improved resource efficiency, and enhanced quality of urban green spaces. The execution of this project has provided the necessary infrastructure for smart management of Sirjan's green spaces.

Management of Green Spaces and Water Resources of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Exploitation Company

The project for managing green spaces and water resources at Zagros South Oil and Gas Operating Company was implemented with the aim of optimizing water consumption and preserving and developing green spaces in the company's industrial environment. Initially, the existing condition of green spaces and water resources in the area was assessed, and after analyzing the data, solutions for optimizing water usage, especially in water-scarce regions, were provided. The design and implementation of modern irrigation systems, such as drip irrigation and smart water management technologies, were among the key actions in this project. Additionally, the selection of drought-resistant plants compatible with the region's climate was part of the green space development plan. These measures contributed to reducing maintenance costs, improving water efficiency, and creating a sustainable and green environment around the industrial facilities. The green space and water management project at Zagros South is considered a successful example of implementing sustainable development principles in industrial settings, helping to conserve water resources while enhancing the environmental quality and work atmosphere.

Studies to evaluate the potential of aquifer pollution caused by leachate infiltration into Iranshahr landfill

Studies to evaluate the potential of aquifer pollution caused by leachate infiltrating the Iranshahr landfill are carried out in order to identify and analyze the environmental effects caused by the leachate produced in this landfill. Leachates, as hazardous effluents resulting from the decomposition of waste, can contain toxic substances and microbial contaminants, which pose a serious threat to the water resources of the region if they penetrate into aquifers. In this study, using field and laboratory methods, sampling of underground water and leachate is done in order to investigate the concentration of polluting substances and the potential of contamination of aquifers. The results of this assessment not only help to determine the current state of aquifer pollution, but also can be the basis for decision-making to improve waste management and implement appropriate protective measures in Iranshahr landfill. The ultimate goal of these studies is to maintain the quality of water resources and the health of the region's ecosystem.
